@pjp141414 : When it's other people's money spent on entirely OTHER people, the person making the decision doesn't care about the cost of the care or the quality of the care. This is a known fact. And when they get serious about cutting costs, they'll cut YOU off from needed treatments. I see it in education, where the legislators try to get a handle on costs with all kinds of stupid ideas that dilute the quality of the service. Want student success? Pass everybody. Then spend extra money on the NEXT level, remediating all the deficiencies in students who were promoted to make the numbers look good to administrators and legislators. They end up cheating the taxpayer AND the student, by lying to the student about their level of mastery. The thing about the remediation is they half-ass THAT, to save money. I think if a high school checks the "Johnny can do math" box, when Johnny CAN'T actually do math, then the high school should have to pay for the remediation of that student. That would bankrupt 2/3 of public schools inside of a year. But maybe then the k-12 would actually make sure Johnny can do math before stamping his diploma.

@Sc-jf3yk : Why? Because trying to pay your own way means you have to pay for 10 other people? Government interference is why shit's so expensive for people who do the right things. It's sad that some people see that they can't afford their own care, because of how inflated everything is, mainly to cover the under-payments that the government now sets as the price for what THEY pay for. "You have insurance? That box of Kleenex will run you $50." When government totally takes over, everything will seem fine, but lines will start growing, waiting times will grow, and bureaucrats will decide, rather than doctors and patients.

@edbenti5007 : Honest progressives can see the bullshit, when it's glaring, and the smear campaign against Trump is pretty glaring. What progressives don't understand is that the policies they support are at the root of many of the problems they then point out. If only progressives would apply the same principles of government meddling, abroad, to government meddling, domestically. It's all the same thing. Elites get their wonderful jobs and wonderful powers, and it becomes more about protecting their livelihoods than actually serving the people. And when it's GOVERNMENT, incompetence means MORE money rather than losing your job. Solving problems isn't good for your career. But finding problems that they can take money from hardworking people to help whatever it is they think they're helping, will guarantee their position and pension. Mainly, as a libertarian, I'm sick of people who virtue signal with other people's money. War abroad and poop in our streets at home.
