  1. My generation were taught to be afraid of the USSR, so we supported whatever the military industrial complex wanted. Lots of kids my age went around thinking the world was about to end from nuclear holocaust. It's the same song. They just write new verses to it, every generation.

  3.  @Ndnative3431  Yes. Deaths were also magnified by depriving people of common-sense, off-the-shelf, EARLY treatments that good doctors were having great success with. Early, aggressive treatment, like saline/iodine nasal spray when you first started experiencing symptoms killed off most of the infections before they got into the lungs. So of course, those doctors were threatened, blacklisted, and, if they tried to stand up to the pressure, terminated. I think Fauci or one of his pals got royalties for remdesivir. And to this day, the people who stood up to the establishment remain largely blacklisted.

Also, if you think getting it right, finally, years later, means that the largely female, largely overweight population of teachers in public schools and colleges won't be deathly afraid of catching cooties from the kids the NEXT time around, you are mistaken. The administrators of those institutions will be deathly afraid of being sued, if someone catches cold on campus during the NEXT p(l)andemic. They won't dare stand up to the teachers, and the schools will again go on lock-down. Grudging admissions by the New York Times 4 years later change nothing. All the same people are in all the same positions as pre-pandemic. There's been some re-arranging of the deck chairs, but the Titanic steams on.

  5. With the kids and opening-up the schools, the issue was as much about the makeup of the teachers supporting lockdowns. Just look at them. Go to a public school or college. The average teacher/administrator is an overweight woman with half-a-dozen co-morbidities.
