  1.  @TroySavary  Yes. All cars depreciate. But not nearly as fast. You have range anxiety from the moment you leave the lot, and the range of the vehicle only goes down from there. The lithium's an environmental disaster from the extraction to the refining to the disposal when it inevitably wears out and is useless. Usually in a matter of a few years. I think EVs would be great for getting around town, but to get around town, you don't need a 1,200-pound (544-kg) battery, like the Tesla has, to pretend like it's a serious road car that you can comfortably and conveniently take a long trip in.
