  1.  @Gough-jf9zf  This is true. Hybrid sales are up much more, and regular ICE vehicles continue to dominate, although EVs and Hybrids have cut into sales, for sure. I believe that in the final analysis, pure EVs are a detriment to the environment, and the "Save the Planet!" types are actually doing more harm than good, as per usual. What happens when all the government incentives dry up? What happens when even Australians figure out the negatives, in spite of all the government propaganda?

  2.  @tonysheerness2427  The standard Beetle is pretty weak, but you can put different jugs in them. Nice thing about the standard Beetle is the straight axle in front. Also flat front windshield. I owned a '74 Super Beetle for a time. They have heaters. Very ingenious the way they do it, with air passing over the exhaust manifold. It also had an oil bath air cleaner, which was most excellent, which was why the EPA was having none of it.

  3. Following government edicts is necessary for their survival. Government edicts also are very good at eliminating any upstart competition. Make no mistake. They're in government's pocket and government's in their pocket. It's a symbiosis that works very well for a while, and always at the expense of the general public.
