@mellarner8253 True. But it doesn't take many liars if they're at the top of officialdumb. They're supposedly the most authoritative sources, and when they lie, and media are too lazy or too dependent on those officials for access, the lie gets retold. 99% of scientists and media will not see something that would interfere with their income stream.

They played the same statistical game with the vacks. Going from a 99.6% survival rate to a 99.8% survival rate isn't really very significant. But the way it was portrayed was "You're twice as safe with the vacks," because your risk of death went from 0.4% to 0.2%. You weren't twice as safe. You were slightly less likely to die immediately by taking a medication whose long-term effects were totally unknown.
