  1. No one talks about how changing energy from one form to another incurs waste. Generating and transmitting electricity to an outlet for you car plug-in involves waste at the generator and waste in the power lines. I think the actual CO2 reductions are very slight. In an ICE, the energy in the fuel goes directly to propulsion.
