  2.  @severnsea  All kinds of great little EVs you can tool around town in very efficiently. If you're not trying to take a 1,000 mile trip and you can plug it in at home. Heck, even a regular lead-acid battery in a golf cart can run you around pretty good for short trips. It's when you try to make them what they're not, that you get into trouble. You wouldn't buy a compact pickup truck to carry 3 tons. You wouldn't buy a battery car to take a long trip.

  3. You can bundle up for the cold, but cold windows ice over. Having the juice to defog your windows is vital in winter. Anyway, these people are trying to use EVs beyond what they're really good for. The average person in a single-family dwelling can run around town on electric with no problem. It's just not a vehicle of choice for longer trips or for long, sustained run times.
