@oldbloke204 We mustn't allow them to price ICEVs beyond all reason. The reason to switch to EVs mustn't be because they stop making good, reliable, affordable and repairable ICEVs, but that's kind of what's happening. The best thing for your wallet and the environment in the USA would be to abolish the Environmental Protection Agency.

@tonysheerness2427 Not to worry. The crowd who set up the catastrophe will be the same crowd who make billions of dollars fixing THAT problem, while the government takes more of our money and liberty, because of the "crisis." Sick of people creating problems and enriching themselves off the "solutions" they ram down our throats, which cause MORE problems down the road. It's the death spiral of western civilization.

@oldbloke204 I'm pretty small-footprint, myself, because I arranged my life and my job that way. I drive ICE vehicle, but pretty infrequently. I just really like having it when I need or want to take a trip or do some work or towing, especially in deep cold or high heat. As someone doing "green" his own way, I see the EPA and other government agencies as an obstacle to living greener. Making you buy a new vehicle rather than fixing the one(s) you have is a HUGE burden on available resources and the environment. It's the height of irony that the people pretending to save the planet are the ones pushing disposable durable goods on us.
