Like all who execute a coup, they're paranoid as hell that the American people will rise up. That's why they see Jan 6th as an insurrection. They're jumping at shadows and it's hilarious. This is probably more fun than having Trump remain in the White House. Without him as president, they're stuck having to govern, and the blatant partisanship of the legacy media is obvious even to Democrats.

That being said, Russian should be the USA's best friend, but just when Russia starts looking and behaving more like America SHOULD, American starts acting more and more like Brezhnev's Soviet Union! It will all be handled by Joe's, uh, handlers. They are also clueless, but they're not obviously senile. It amounts to the same thing for foreign leaders dealing with the USA. Trump was a lot easier to get along with, because - like all leaders everywhere - he had the interests of the USA foremost in his mind. It's the Cold-War-Mindset policy wonks who act like weaklings today, and are dropping bombs on you, tomorrow. Ignorant, mercurial, and very much disconnected from reality.
