  8. There's tons of citizen footage of what went on in some of those big-city precincts. There's over a decade of complaints about Dominion from BOTH sides of the aisle. Why we even use that stuff is beyond me.

  10. Yes. #1 in a field of 6, where the other 5 are squabbling over everybody who would never watch FOX, which is close to 4 or 5 times more audience than FOX will ever have. But such discussions are moot in light of the fact that they'd all be overjoyed to pull 4 million. 4 million times 6 is 24 million. The U.S. population is over 320 million. Their reach is not that great. We're only obsessing on them because they obsess on themselves.

  11.  @margomargo898  Being a clumsy advocate for one side isn't helping the one side. I don't mind if an outlet is open about its bias. I prefer that kind of honesty. But I've been around long enough to see through the spin for whatever side.

  12. Except that the uni-news world doesn't have NEARLY the reach that it once had. It's trying. Lord knows it's trying. But the old way of getting news is dying and there's nothing they can do about it. And we see that they were never as smart or as hip as they acted, anyway.

Neither would mind imposing THEIR ideas on everyone else by force, if they only had the political clout to do so. The trouble with the libertarian types is that by our nature, we abhor the use of force!

He spins real hard for his nationalist-populist holy grail, and he's not above extreme exaggeration to pump the sunshine. If you got back a couple years, you'll see that he's always laying a smokescreen between today's optimism and yesterday's failed prophecy.

  24. Watching Tucker supports big corporations that are the reason cable news is such trash. All those big advertisers, car companies and the like. There's nothing those networks say that doesn't have the go-ahead from every one of those big advertisers.

  27. FOX's audience was bound to shrink, anyway. All those commercial-interrupted legacy networks are fighting over the low-info people who still watch legacy-network t.v. If you're higher-information conservative/libertarian, FOX didn't represent the best and brightest, with the exception of Gutfeld, and even he and his crowd were careful what toes they stepped on. I know Tucker Carlson's some kind of cult figure, but he kind of a tradition-for-tradition's sake kind of commentator, too. There's no room for a real, hippie-type and well-informed libertarian like Styxhexenhammer666, and certainly no room for YoungRippa59, Dave Rubin or Matt Christiansen, to name a few. And I think they're all doing just fine without going to work for an outfit like FOX.

  28. It's pretty much always been this way. Just fewer people noticed. That surreal feeling will go away in 10 years or so, when you get a better sense of how people are perceiving things, rather than wasting your time trying to explain how things really are and pretty much always have been. We have better toys, but the human condition hasn't changed all that much in 10s or 100s of thousands of years. It's all the same stuff. If it ain't one religion, it's another. When religion is abandoned, political ideologies fill that "god hole" in the human consciousness, that seeks for a greater meaning, a True Purpose to make sense of a temporary existence bereft of an Ultimate 'Why?'

  29. If I had that kind of salary, I'd be set for retirement after a year or two, and I'd say what I wanted and work for whomever I wished after that, assuming I'd even want to work, which is highly doubtful.

  30. FOX alienated the audience it once had. But they're ALL fighting over a shrinking number of people who still watch legacy-network news in the traditional way. Those of a more libertarian or conservative persuasion were already a small and shrining piece of the overall pie. FOX was the single biggest player in news, but when you factor in the fact that all the other networks were pumping out virtually identical content, you see that the vast majority of brain-dead, legacy-network viewers were low-info Democrats, who're inoculated against FOX, anyway.

  31. The REAL trend to track is the steady decline in viewership for ALL those traditional t.v. networks. They're not the only game in town, any more. What's more, they're not even very competitive, in spite of all the advantages of Big Tech boosting them and the fact that they were here, first.
