What gets ME is their whining about our "alternative facts," when our "alternative facts" have been closer to the truth than their Sacred Mainstream Message.
They brag about doing the hard work, when the RussiaGate Hoax was ONE SOURCE. Nobody questioned their one source. Then when the one source leaked to multiple news outlets, the news outlets then cited reports by other news outlets, for confirmation, but they All Used the Same Source and Didn't Fact-Check.
The same thing during COVID.
The same thing during both wars in Iraq.
Decades of the "food pyramid," featuring sugar-coated breakfast cereal and seed oils as "healthy choices."
Speaking as someone who spent far too many years in college (I wanted to learn everything), outside of freshman math, science, and history, I NEVER saw a "journalism major" taking upper division history, math, or science. As a math professor, I never saw a journalism major in calculus. At most, they'd take college algebra and whine about how hard it was.
In the old days of blue-collar journalism, those journalists were still very widely read. They taught themselves things. Modern journalists are spoon-fed parrots. There's no depth of knowledge or thought. If there were, there'd be a lot fewer socialists in the reporting ranks.
Spend all day deciding the fair way to divide an apple amongst 3 people, but not a single thought about what motivated the nurturing and harvesting so that apple was there to be divided in the first place. I put Due Dissidence in this category. Oh, they can see the more obvious errors made by top-down society engineers, but they never question the desirability of top-down decision making for society. They just want smarter people doing it.
The smartest person when it comes to the allocation of resources is an individual with limited resources trying to meet all their needs, and the vendors competing for their money. You want highest quality and cheapest price? Get the government as far away from the decision-making as possible!
