  1. I think you may be misinterpreting the situation. If the world de-dollarizes, the USA will have to pay full freight on its enormous debts. Trump is posturing to create hesitancy, and bring other countries to the table and talk. Due to all the sanctions on everybody everywhere, Trump can bring everybody back in line by simply easing sanctions. Remove the thorns the USA has stuck in countries it doesn't like. I think Trump is just setting up for some good deals for all countries. The situation's pretty ripe for it. Bad as the Chinese are, it does them and us no good to just turn off the spigot. Fair trade? Sure. But not eyes-wide-shut trade with a predatory trading partner. That's not a partnership. That's a co-dependent relationship! There's so much middle ground for Trump to play with, it's ridiculous. I'm not saying I think he will be great, but I think there's a chance for a new kind of multi-polar world, with more give and take. But I think if world trade de-dollarizes, the USA will go under. It needs a balanced federal budget and a serious debt-reduction plan. We have to do it for our kids and their kids. Peace and a free and debt-free country is what we owe them.
