  1.  @stallonesylvester3901  Yup. There's too much $$$$ in drug smuggling. The War on Drugs in the USA just props up the cartels and the most corrupt members of government on BOTH sides of the border. To native Mexicans, the cartels are a force of Nature that is greater than any vested authority in the country. It doesn't matter that the vast majority are good, God-fearing, hard-working people. The crooks are just too strong and too rich. Even if the common people crushed the cartels, the money coming in from the USA would quickly create new cartels, much like the old cartels. There's no getting away from the cartels until the USA finally wakes up and realizes that Prohibition didn't work against alcohol and it won't work against other drugs, either. All those laws do is create an endless income stream for the worst kind of people.

  3. Drug money pouring in from the U.S. dwarfs the legitimate government authorities in Mexico. This is just one more of the consequences of a failed and corrupt War on Drugs in the USA.
