  1. There are always niches that go begging in the economy. Every time one job becomes obsolete, other jobs open up. You just have to be willing to change career gears. The only reason mechanization takes over is because it's cheaper. That means same products produced for less. That means more net wealth for other jobs to be done, and who doesn't have stuff they wish somebody would do for them? For instance, professional shopping is becoming a very big thing. (See "Insta-Cart" service.). We all know about Lyft and Uber. All kinds of niches, and not just driving stuff around for people.
