  2. I'd say the same thing for the hippie generation. They BECAME the establishment and will brook no dissent and they LOVE big authoritarian government, now that THEY are the establishment, and now that they're beyond fighting age, they're all OK with sending our boys off to die (and kill) on foreign soil for the benefit of a very few, which is ANATHEMA to the American Ideal and the ideals THEY preached when they were dodging the draft in the '60s and '70s and campaigning for free speech. They're WAY more regressive than the "right-wingers" they replaced in the power structure. Champagne socialists, the lot of them.
