  1. No. Because in the '60s-'90s, so-called liberals created enormous engines of oppression, masquerading as "help." They set things up for what we're seeing today, and they refuse to admit their role in it. Federal agencies in America have all been hijacked by the donor class, which anyone who knows a little history could've told you - and probably DID tell you - over and over, since the 1960s. But you wouldn't listen. "There is no slippery slope!" Now, broken at the bottom of the hill, they still won't admit there ever was a slippery slope.

  2. What you call "liberalism" isn't liberalism. True liberalism is about liberty and limited government. Modern "liberals" want government to be their parent, and then cry to the heavens when their liberty is infringed as the inevitable consequence, or worse, embrace authoritarianism. That's not liberal or progressive. It's illiberal and regressive, dragging us back to a new form of absolute rule by kings.
