@RTBurke : Muslims invaded Europe before Europeans invaded the Middle East. But yeah. They used religion as an excuse to put a lot of out-of-work soldiers back to work. The Pope basically promised salvation and forgiveness of all sins (and riches) to anybody willing to go fight.

Left to their own devices, folks are generally more peaceable than governments.

Of course, that's not ALL that Clausewitz said. He also defined war as the use of force by one state to compel another state to its will. He rarely used 5 words when 100 would do. As for watching the video, even just to end up not liking it, allows you to offer something to the comments section. I agree. At root, it's political, which is basically the only way you can justify one person deliberately doing harm to another without penalty.
