@willdegra317 Nobody with a government (or education) job was affected by the lock-downs, except some of their favorite bars and restaurants closed down. Staying home, more, with plenty of food and home theater systems, wearing masks, etc., was a sacrifice they were more than willing to make. They gave zero thought to all the workers who were struggling to buy food and pay rent while their restaurants or bars were closed or all the landlords who received no rent money and no relief (mostly single families renting out a small house or extra room, etc. PLUS they all got a government check for their troubles on TOP of their pay checks, which never missed a beat.
Traffic was light. Maybe they got to work from home, which they really liked. No appreciation for all the "little people" who keep the lights on and wait on them at the fancy places, or who fix the plumbing, or put the roof on their dream homes.
There's a real disconnect between blue collar and white collar in general. I think the white collar forgot the blue collar and they won't remember until they can't get anything fixed around the place, or can't afford to go where they want when they want. Or they get knocked on the head by a homeless person.
