Thus, those whom we can "leftists" are ACTUALLY REACTIONARIES! They're literally trying to un-do liberalism and drag us back into feudalism. That's not left, at all!

  2.  @flippingtablesforchrist6795  Religion ain't the problem. Religion is a solution for existential angst, and to give meaning when otherwise, we just eat, poop and breed, to no purpose. Organized religion has all the pitfalls of big government. The most toxic people always have the urge to rule. The ascent of Man is closely tied to the ideation of some sort of ideal existence and being, and God is the vehicle. You have to imagine something greater, some kind of better future. The God concept provides a framework and a foundation for building a better future. The most toxic people and stupid people tear down and corrupt every organized religion AND government. That's why we should limit the size, scope and power of the government, and why we should view organized churches with great skepticism, and keep the two from merging. That said, all the big religions of today do contain at least a kernel of truth, else they would not self-propagate over long spans of time and wide spans of geography. All the old religions are a reflection of humanity's struggle to find meaning and rules to live by for a better future.
