  1. The medical professionals could and should overrule the bureaucrats, but they know they are safe if they follow orders. I thought Nuremberg had something to say about that, but either 100s of thousands of doctors are idiots, or 100s of thousands of doctors are outright amoral cowards. If they ALL said "This is wrong" when it was very clear it was wrong, and said "Take my license. I won't do this," the bureaucrats would have turned tail. They would have to turn tail.
