  1. Don't fall for the reverse psychology. This is only making conservatives want to buy Teslas. I wouldn't be against buying an EV for getting around town, but trying to make EVs that can come close to replacing an ICE is just too much weight and too much pollution of other kinds than the "climate-changing" CO2 everybody decided to fetishize. I think that pretty much everyone who wants one has one, and many who have one wish they didn't. If I'm Elon, and I'm looking to continue making EV's, I'd aim lower, and make ultralight vehicles for just getting around town, with a range of 40 or 50 miles, which cheaper options for people who are never going to put more than 10 or 20 miles on it, before re-charging. There are LOTS of people who live less than 5 miles from work/town. Maybe when we get some sanity, we'll see more of those and less of these over-built toys.
