Biden's more authoritarian, but neither of the two candidates is going to do much to drain the swamp. There's nobody out there who's the kind of liberty-minded leader we need. They both love big government, and the "argument" is who gets to control the monster. Fact is, the monster's so big, there's no controlling it. and nobody is even talking about pulling its teeth and putting it on a diet. No. That's not true. The IMF wants the USA to implement austerity measures, because its budget deficits are chronic, and the debt, itself, is absolutely crippling. It's now almost exactly the size of the entire gross domestic product, and interest payments, alone, are as big as the defense budget! While all y'all are getting your daily Orange-Man-Bad fixes, the nation is crumbling! In my estimation, Trump will be less bad, but still not really do anything about big business's incestuous relationship with the federal government. Why are we embroiled in Ukraine? Couldn't POSSIBLY have anything to do with Exxon or Shell. NOTHING to do with Blackrock or Vanguard! This daily fix of Trump bad is just a distraction from "They're ALL bad!"

The problem with the bias in Big Tech platforms is they all got hefty startup support from the government and they dominate social media, and so you have one side (Welfare-and-War establishment) monopolizing the public square. It's not a simple "This is a private business" when they enforce the establishment's lies and do the bidding of Washington insiders.

You just can't wrap your mind around the idea that not everybody sees things the way you do. You probably still 2016 was fixed, and still want to punish people who think 2020 was fixed. You probably still think RussiaGate Hoax was real, even though it was bought-and-paid-for fiction. You probably think warrantless searches are a great idea and that FISA isn't being weaponized against dissenters. Remember the Tea Party? Yeah. The IRS was sent after them. Crushed them. That was Obama. Remember the jailed reporters during Obama? Of course not. The strategy of silencing dissent worked! Remember lockdowns and vaccine mandates? You probably thought they were great. Turns out they were dead wrong. That was your president threatening everyone who refused the experiment. I guess it's not authoritarianism if you agree with the authorities of the day.

I've been on the losing side, as a conscientious libertarian, my whole adult life. It's the big-government-loving, so-called "liberals" who come unglued when things don't go their way. He lost a lot of love by signing-on to the conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza. "This wouldn't have happened on MY watch" does not address his policies. Also his pride in "Operation Warp Speed" costs him a lot of enthusiasm. It reveals his narcissism. It would push me to RFK, because RFK's more right on COVID and Ukraine, and RFK actually articulates libertarian ideas. Trump had a great shot at winning most of the middle, who are looking for key policy positions that just aren't there, because Trump's triangulating poorly.

The irony is that the last two Democrat administrations were far more authoritarian and hostile to free speech than Trump was. He's flawed as hell, and may not be any good at all against the corruption in Washington, but the Biden administration has been horrible! Trump didn't impose or promote vaccine mandates. The authoritarian Biden administration DID. I think both Dems and Repubs both like censorship. To them, it's a battle for who gets to do the censoring. Trump's policies were much better than Biden's. From open borders to critical-race ideology. As president, he was a lot less authoritarian than Biden has been. If it's a choice between the two, Trump wins, hands down. But you have to look beyond the media propaganda and the rhetoric. Keep in mind that over 90% of civil servants and media are Democrat. Beware getting caught in a bubble! At this point, RFK says more of the right kinds of things, but I think he's got a neocon streak up his back that shows in the current conflict in Gaza. We never should have, nor should we continue to embroil ourselves in ethnic conflicts around the world that existed long before the USA was conceived. I think RFK will end up draining more MAGA votes than Democrat votes, in the final tally. MAGA currently has the liberty, limited government and end foreign wards factions of the Republicans. You know. The Republicans who are Republicans on more libertarian grounds. If Trump loses those factions - and he's on the brink - he will lose, and we'll have one-party rule in perpetuity. Some of you like that idea. It terrifies me. The Democrats already have a monopoly in legacy media and education. Children are all indoctrinated to vote Democrat, already. The "Please can we make government smaller, and avoid going full-on fascist?" crowd is getting pretty black-pilled.

This is in the context of Biden not being able to tell the difference between a silhouette of a rhino from a silhouette of an elephant in that cheesy cognition test. Talk about how he still brags about Warp Speed. Talk about how he backs the Zionist agenda. Talk about how he had 4 years to reverse course on Ukraine (although in fairness, they impeached him for getting too close to Burisma). Talk about how he didn't ban CRT from federal trainings until after he lost the election. That lasted about a month. One of the first things Biden reversed... Talk about how he didn't pardon Julian Assange. Those are his real weaknesses. The rest is just "I don't like his personality."

I was around in 2016. The entire Democrat establishment and most Democrat voters lost their minds when Trump won. TDS is a thing. This is just one more "Show me the man and I'll show you the crime" situations. Trump's ahead now in the polls. He wouldn't be if Democrats weren't so untethered.

Last I heard, the lawyer on FOX talking about Mar-A-Lago, was representing Trump on some matters up in New York or something, so why FOX was asking her about Mar-A-Lago I don't know. It seemed pretty sketch at the time. Anything Trump, right now, is a distraction. It's something to put on the news, instead of things we really should hear that would embarrass all the clowns at the top of both the major parties. I hold Schumer and McConnell in equal disdain.

If you can't see that this is all political, and don't realize that today's "win" is going to get Trump re-elected, tomorrow, you're blind. I don't really see much difference between a Trump administration and a Democrat administration. Trump did some good things, but he really did nothing to reduce the role and scope of the federal government, and our government is currently the biggest crisis facing America. It's too big. It's run up the national debt to 100% of the gross domestic product! The national debt is literally as big as the sum of all our economic output! It's promised everything to everyone and there just isn't enough money to keep those promises! Rule 1 of Economics: Resources are limited. Rule 1 of Politics: Disregard Rule 1 of Economics. What we're doing to our children and grandchildren is atrocious. That's the elephant in the room. Go ahead and obsess in the minutiae of these piddly court cases. Go ahead and petition your representative to create MORE programs to fix MORE problems, with money we don't have, thanks to all the other problems the government "fixed" for us! There's no solution to the human condition. Only trade-offs. I want to weigh my own trade-offs, not have some "expert" in Washington weigh them for me. Let me keep my stuff and I'll have better options..

It's just re-branded. What's "forward" about a national debt that's as big as the gross domestic product? You've had your fun, but now your children and grandchildren are stuck with the bill, without ANY hope of owning their own home or raising their own family. That's not forward. @JRBOwnsall Review the actual history of liberalism. It was a push for liberty and limited government, as a reaction to monarchism and absolute rule by despots. The welfare state is a clear step backwards to serfdom. "You will get your free stuff, but you must OBEY, even if what we order you to do is crazy." I'm personally against slavery and serfdom. What "liberalism" has become is serfdom with a fresh coat of lipstick.
