  1. In any institution, you have competent, hard-working people and incompetent climbers. The climbers are political. The hard working people tend to be apolitical. The climbers always end up at the top. Their positions are obtained more by political maneuver than proven competence. So how to fix this? You can't. All you can do is let them all compete on an even playing field (End the public-school monopoly, etc.) and never EVER give our institutions too much power. On the corporate side, if you're too big to fail, then you're so big, you should probably fail. But what do we do? We use government force to prop up big business at the expense of small business. I'm not against big business. I just don't like seeing the way government institutions favor big over small in all things. Don't like what Trump is doing? Then call for the president to have less power. Don't like what Congress is doing? Then call for Congress to quite creating programs it is obviously incapable of competently overseeing. The only solution for the longer term is decentralizing the power structure. Reduce the powers now exercised by federal bureaucracies. The problem isn't lack of term limits or any of that other jazz. The problem is we give too much power to big institutions, when we should be proudly and happily solving our OWN problems, were we live, with as little interference as possible.

  2. Nah. We just have to pick the right battles and use righteous means. That always wins in the long run. To see what I mean, look at Antifa in Portland. When conservatives brought out their alpha dogs to fight against Antifa, they got smeared. That's not the way. They turn you into themselves, and drag you down to their level. Antifa winning EVERY street battle spells the demise of Antifa. There are MILLIONS watching tens of thousands of bullying ignants. We CAN sweep them off the streets, and if we do, we lose. It hurts us in the streets, short term, but the injustice, cruelty, and plain malevolence of Antifa is out in the open now. They're making their big play. And they're discrediting themselves as we speak. Yes, Democrat mayors and governors let this go too far, and have misgoverned TERRIBLY. Yes, the worst kinds of people have taken advantage. But the whole world is watching. Be strong, restrained and above all, be PATIENT. Control what you can in your own little circle, and use force on no one unless they try to use force on YOU. Then smite them hip and thigh, as the saying goes. But don't look for trouble. Don't lash out because idiots are making a spectacle of themselves by lashing out.
