  1. ​ @crazyaboutcards  EXACTLY! Only private citizens and there should be a cap of $500-$1,000 per person. These politicians make themselves and the government far more important than they SHOULD be. We need simple, limited and transparent government. On the federal level, enforcing the U.S. Constitution at home, dealing with matters of war and peace, abroad, and the levying of tariffs and excise taxes should be the extent of it.

While I like the idea of individuals banding together to pool their (small) donations (political action committees), I despise the way corporations make mega-donations to political causes, and skew the American system in favor of big companies. Somebody needs to take a look at the Citizens-United decision. No, Microsoft is NOT a person.
