Sorry. Somebody might catch cooties. You want to be warm, tonight? Sorry. The sky is falling. You're just going to have to freeze.

  2. ​ @Mrbfgray  Many did. But many of the younger ones were held back in speech, reading, writing and math. A lot of PARENTS got smarter, with a peek at the underbelly of the quality of instruction in the public schools. I found it ironic that it was Republicans who wanted - insisted - that the indoctrination centers be re-opened. They were right, in the sense that disrupting what IS, even when it's not very good, usually leads to something WORSE for the weakest and most disadvantaged. What galls me is what Bret Weinstein put perfectly. To paraphrase: "What we saw wasn't a good plan with a few understandable mistakes. The response to COVID was the INVERSE of what it should've been." They didn't get one or two things wrong. Our "leaders" got EVERYTHING wrong.
