  2. Inner cities need tax and regulatory relief. 30, 40, or 50 years ago, you could give liberals the benefit of the doubt as to their intentions. But 50 years after Great Society, Americans need to wake up to the unintended consequences that many of us predicted, but the majority wouldn't listen to. With our cities in decay, I can no longer give liberals the benefit of the doubt. Now, they're just being obstinate, and need to re-think their ideas. We want to help the downtrodden. Nobody more generous than Americans. But government over-meddling has left us less compassionate and hasn't put a dent in poverty.
