  2. In a sales situation, I reckon I'd seem Democrat to Democrats and Republican to Republicans, etc. If the customer wants to go there, I know all sides well enough to find some redeeming feature in each.

  4. Businesses have ALWAYS tried to put their social consciences on full display. Between proprietors with strong religious convictions and support of charities and savvy proprietors who recognize the marketing aspects, social consciousness is ever-present in a free-market economy, and it's a good thing. But it's kind of important to support things that actually make sense.

  5. People don't mind a socially-conscious company. What they don't like is companies pushing dressed-up communist dialectic.
