  1. I'd say "Trump's ahead of the curve," but he just made common-sense evaluations. It's the so-called "establishment" that's decades behind the curve. Without our propping them up, China would be pretty irrelevant, or maybe the CCP would be gone by now, to a true people's revolution. I think they have the brains and wherewithal in their general population, enough of an educated would-be middle class. And that last claim/hope kind of goes against my usual take, because propping up China and bringing China into direct competition on our level created a lot of educated workers in China, and once educated, it gets harder and harder to lie to them, and the people get smarter and smarter about sidestepping control systems.
