  1. Passive geothermal would go a long way toward heating and cooling homes and buildings. But we're nowhere near meeting our energy needs for transportation and manufacturing without fossil fuels. Atomic power could go a long way towards cleaning things up, but the people who want to eliminate fossil fuels are also deathly afraid of atomic power. All that the greenies are achieving with their anti-energy agenda is that the West exports all the dirty work and energy-intensive manufacturing to countries with zero air- and water-quality standards.
