  2. Twitter and FB take more heat from butt-hurt lefties. Triggered snowflakes COMPLAIN about materials they find offensive, and they find anything not of the pure left to be offensive. Conservatives see leftie nonsense, and we just shrug, because it's always been that way, and no reason to be offended, just because you disagree. Twitter and FB are just reflecting the culture. Conservative speech is hate speech, by definition, and so you have thousands of bitter liberals flagging and complaining about everything conservative. It hurts conservatives, more, because they're USED to being in the minority and hearing PLENTY of opposing views. One of the shocking things to liberals about Hillary's defeat is that they simply couldn't imagine anybody who felt differently than they felt. Everywhere they went, they got the same echo chamber, with the party line at work matching the party line of the evening news and entertainment.

  3. Tariffs are coming down. Wait and see. And is it fair to pay artificially low prices, that destroy our home-grown industries, when China and others subsidize their products? You can cash in, short-term, but you lose in the long term, when the Chinese are the only ones with a viable steel/aluminum industry. China's been doing what they've been doing, because they can. I think the Chinese have been buying up a lot of our red ink, and our leaders have been afraid they would close off the spigot. The Fed Gov't floats bonds to deficit spend. Somebody's gotta buy those bonds. Raises the cost of deficit spending, which all politicians want to do.

  4. I think it's been in our government's interest - not ours - to be limp in all our trade negotiations. The elites get cheaper yachts and planes, and as long as foreign investors (i.e. Chinese) keep buying up our IOUs, government can get away with wrong economic policy for extended periods.
