If the blacks threw in with the Republicans for an election cycle or two, things would get much better, very quickly. Things at home would get better, and our only worry, then, would be to cut the Deep State off at the knees and start behaving like a civilized country in our foreign policy. Sick of our Intel Community suckering us into killing other human beings. It's horrific. Detestable. We don't need to back rebels in foreign countries for ANY purpose. Their internal affairs are none of our business. And if other countries meddle, then cut their asses off. Boycott the bastards. Embargo the bastards. Behave yourself and we'll be your best friend. That's the reputation we should strive to achieve, and put our actions where our principles lie: Non Force Principle. Yeah, we'll fight if we have to, but we're not going to impose on others by force.

  5. J Burke  : If the poll doesn't factor in "likeliness to actually VOTE," the polling numbers are worthless. I think Rasmussen poll factors in likelihood of voting and it was one of the few polls who got 2016 right. The other polls just randomly ask any dumb-ass on the street, whether he's actually voting or not.

  6. nighttr  : I'd count on it. He will campaign in Michigan. His poll numbers sucked according to most pollsters, and yet he won the state in 2016. I think the burden is on you to make any kind of case that his campaigning in Michigan will hurt him. Be interesting to watch. I think cities like Detroit will produce a surprising number of blacks voting against the business-as-usual Democrats. Blacks feel very betrayed, right now, by Democrats. If Democrats can't poll upwards of 90% amongst blacks, all their hopes are dashed, and Trump's polling at an unprecedented 22% among black males. Something like 12% or 15% amongst black women.

  7. It's the most amazing thing. He can toss off a one-liner in a speech or a Tweet, and his haters will spend hours discrediting themselves trying to discredit and impugn him over it. Do you realize how easy it is to generate Tweets off the top of your head? Easy peasie. They exhaust themselves clutching their pearls and flying off into hysteria, and make Trump look good, by comparison. "No, lady, I didn't like what he said, but by the time you got done, I decided to be on the other side from YOU."

  10. It's not that simple, with so many Republican retirements and so many never-Trumpers. To muddy it some more, some of the Democrats who DO win are going to have platforms very close to Trump's own and may surprise everyone by how they end up voting . They may roll over and follow the party leadership, or they might go along with Trump. Everybody wants something decisive. I don't think it'll be like that. It's gonna be tight.

The people love their leader when things are improving and blame the leader when things are getting worse. Obama's policies were terrible, especially when you factor in a DOUBLING of the national debt during his watch. So even anything that DID improve got eaten up by unchecked growth of debt. Obama left us on a much worse footing. Trump may not be THE answer, but he's AN answer to asinine establishment politics-as-usual, and it's a breath of fresh air to most Americans, whether you like it or not. Immigration? He's right. Lower Taxes? He's right. Foreign Policy? He's been brilliant. Trade Policy? Another A+ As a middle-aged man, I've learned not to sweat the small stuff too much. And Trump's right-down-the-line nailing it on a lot of big stuff that Democrats are incapable of understanding or managing. I haven't been this surprised or optimistic, since Reagan defeated Carter.

Trump's cut off our illegal support of ISIS rebels in Syria, and in return, the Iranians will NOT be sending troops to the Israeli border. He's held the line against Putin, without antagonizing him. He's absolutely correct in NOT writing checks our asses can't cash on matters such as the Crimea, which has been in and out of Russian hands for centuries and has a Russian majority population... Let's see. What else? He hasn't weaponized the powers of his office to railroad private citizens. He's actually pushing for a SANE immigration policy, and winning the conversation, there. (Wait and see. Immigration will be the decider and the Dems are on the wrong side of this one.). He's trying to break the education monopoly with school vouchers. Choice in education for all is a right. The current system sends you to the nearest monopoly outlet, and you're stuck with the neighborhood you can afford to live in, when it comes to public education. The biggest obstacle to immediate and profound improvements and cost savings to our young people is the Education Establishment, which only knows how to grow bureaucracy, raise prices, and pander to idiot SJWs.
