@purveyoroftruth7096 Alfie's kind of an odd study, because as much gravitas as the actor brought to the role, Alfie was not a man of his word, and I think to survive in that world, in his position, he'd have to show some restraint. In his position, he could say "No" if he couldn't or wouldn't honor a deal. It's still fun to watch the two of them speak more frankly to one another than they would to anyone else. They see through each other and have a better idea what the other has on his plate than anybody else knows about either of them.

Yeah. Lack of pigment is a disadvantage, for sure. But from ancient times, being tanned meant you spent time in the sun, which meant you were lower class. Only rich people could stay out of the sun without starving to death. Still, amongst us "common folk," a tan is generally considered healthy, compared to pasty-white complexion.
