"Trust the experts," they say, when everyone knows that 99% of experts agree 100% with their pay masters.

If you're foreigh-born, you need to EARN the rights of citizenship, which means you know the U.S. Constitution and agree to abide by the law. Coming here, illegally, is not abiding by the law. It's a chronic crime that doesn't stop until you EARN your citizenship. We have (had) a pretty good thing, here, and newbies need to know our principles, respect the rights of others, and take responsibility.

Where "liberal" went wrong was when it hijacked government-centric thinking as one of its supposed tenets. If you want to live your life as you see fit, the last thing you want is a government taking care of you. So-called "liberals" want nanny government AND expect to have all their rights. It doesn't work that way, as COVID and the welfare state in general are proving to us, now. I warned for decades that this was the authoritarian slippery slope that so-called "liberals" put us on. I consider myself a classical liberal, which means rights guaranteed under a constitution and limited government. The American Experiment is an experiment in liberalism. It's just been hijacked by those who would drag us back into safe, secure serfdom (which is neither safe nor secure) by a different name.

@syndrome5372 Yes. We call this "the spoiled child strategy."

@ErsatzGhost It doesn't matter how much they promote their league, it's not as entertaining to watch and they won't bring in the fans that the men's does.
3
@zer0faults Junior varsity never gets the love the varsity gets, and what little WNBA I've watched looked like JV.

Equal treatment under the law does not exist in the broken states of America.

They know their ideology is nonsense, else they wouldn't be critical of such a strong and brave woman, who must always be believed...
2
If you want to be called "she," make an effort to present yourself as a "she." If you're going to paint eyebrows and wear makeup with a beard, I don't know what to call you, except your proper name, and I'll probably slip up and say he or she or it at some point. I don't mind respecting someone's preference on what pronouns to use, but it shouldn't be compelled, and I'm not going to fawn all over you or walk on eggshells. And if you were born with a penis, just FORGET about competing with born females in athletic events. Just stop.

FBI investigating NYC is crooks investigating crooks.
2
Biden's DOJ is too busy spying on Catholics and building dossiers on everyone with a MAGA-adjacent opinion. I wonder how many other mayors get away with the same kind of fraud, by being less obvious about their fraud. This is getting national attention because it's so brazen.

Elder's got some good arguments. He also ducks and dives sometimes, which I don't like.
2
@zer0faults They charge less because they don't sell at higher prices. Soccer is a bad example, though, because they're still trying to popularize a sport that most of the USA considers boring compared to American football and basketball.

@Scoots1994 Cancellation works both ways. Much depends on why someone's being canceled and by whom.

I want a special category for people just like ME. It ain't gonna happen. I want to play in the NFL. It ain't gonna happen. Now. Do I accept that, or do I expect the whole world to change for my personal benefit at great cost to others?
1
Who trusts the FBI to investigate anything? I don't.

He's either stupid or malignant.

And everyone will believe it's because he's bucking the illegal immigration agenda. Why? Because we've been watching the blatant lawfare by Democrats against their political opponents. Even though he seems pretty crooked, everyone is ready to believe it's just another Democrat hit job to destroy any and all threats to their ill-considered, yet all the more cherished narratives.

It's about time. We'll see if women's sports actually listens to the women who play (or fight).

@KAlphonso To obtain power, Marxism weaponizes resentments of the incompetent to take everything from the competent.
1
@PlanetJigobotTV Not true. This same mind virus swept Europe at the same time. The West used democracy to vote itself into what it pretended to oppose for half a century.
1
Washington doesn't want to hear any mayors complaining about the immigration problem that Washington created. Of course, the big-city mayors were all-in on the project until their cities went down the tubes.

Calling in the National Guard after de-funding the police isn't a wise policy change. It's a confession.

@bradmiles1984 I think it's hilarious that there are obviously some toxic males who are exploiting the gaping holes in transgender ideology. EVERYone see the absurdity in a grown male shop teacher wearing gigantic prosthetic breasts, replete with giant nipples. Or beating up women in the ring. Or born men breaking women's weightlifting records. Or born men dominating women's swimming/track. There's a principle in logic: Reductio ad absurdum. If you're reasoning from a false premise, absurdity results. The absurdity proves the premise (transgender ideology) false.

@snowwhite5842 Yup. Like Bruce Jenner declaring himself Caitlin Jenner and immediately winning "Woman of the Year." Women wanted into men's spaces for so long and were very demanding about it. Now they got what they wanted and there are sick men invading women's restrooms, locker rooms, prisons, athletics, ... They can't call those men out, because a trans woman is a real woman! LOL!

Why is a woman with a permanent sneer so popular?
1
$he was excited, because she thought of them only as Democrat voters.
1
Happens a lot to Democrats, because they're so grasping, eager to use their position to cheat things in their favor, short-term, without a thought to the long-term consequences. Lack of care or even understanding of long-term consequences pretty much characterizes the Democrat Party. It's all about the win, today.

Anything to weaponize the system against all dissenters, and especially Trump. That's his most appealing characteristic.
1
This is just one of many issues that proves that the rot starts at the head. This is all brought to us by irresponsible academicians.
1
She should serve TWICE the amount of time in prison as the man she falsely accused. This nonsense has got to stop.
1
I just think it's hilarious seeing all these idiots wearing masks.
1
It's not "censor." It's "censure." senn-sherr
1
To us, this is blatant hypocrisy. To Democrats, blue cities are being wronged by evil MAGA.

Maybe her kid's gettin' picked on in a "mean girls" situation. Maybe the clapping was very enthusiastic, except for her daughter. I can see where a long span of small slights and insults can get Momma Bear's hackles up, but Momma Bear in that position needs to be strong and tell her daughter to be strong. As Superintendent, she needs to be above all that kind of pettiness.
1
Now that they're dealing with a Tiny Fraction of the illegal immigration problem being experienced by border states, they're changing their minds.

Nothing wrong with a company trying to socially responsible. It can even be good for the bottom line, because people who care will like your products more. The problem is the thinly-veiled Marxist ideology being pushed.
1
@night2501 That's because they're special-er than we muck.
