  1. Maybe her kid's gettin' picked on in a "mean girls" situation. Maybe the clapping was very enthusiastic, except for her daughter. I can see where a long span of small slights and insults can get Momma Bear's hackles up, but Momma Bear in that position needs to be strong and tell her daughter to be strong. As Superintendent, she needs to be above all that kind of pettiness.
