  2. This is one of the reasons people believe in an afterlife, because all too often, these dickheads live long and prosperous lives. So we like to think there's a Heaven and they won't let assholes like him in. Myself, I try to put myself in their position and think how I must feel if I acted that way, and I end up feeling sorry for guys like that. I'm on guard against guys like that, but in my heart of hearts, I pity them, because they know no joy.

  3. When the white guy chested the black guy, all bets were off. I wouldn't blame the black guy for swinging, at that point. He made it physical. I know nothing of this story, though. Clearly the white guy is foul and politically incorrect. But I also think that racial/ethnic epithets are part and parcel of the melting pot. We never outlawed "Dago" or "Spic." They just kind of lost their power and fell out of use because they said more about the person using them. The "N" word has way too much power. It shouldn't be an excuse for a freak-out or a beat-down. All it deserves is an "OK, that's how he is, and we know he's ignorant and full of shit, now." Honestly, I have that reaction to blacks who use the term. If it's so insulting, don't use it!

  4. Actually, in this country, we defend his right to say things that offend us. The ACLU once defended the right of the KKK to get permits and stage a demonstration, where vile ideas were celebrated. Actually LETTING them hold their big event just showed how vile - and RIDICULOUS - they were. From that point forward, organized white supremacy became very rare, and had ZERO political influence, between the few thousand votes between them, nationwide. Pfft. Nothing. The only people pushing racist rhetoric are Democrats, but they candy-coat in "I'm just trying to help"s.
