  1. This might be a 50-50 thing. Half of it is people piling on. Half of it is they're piling on for a reason. The young guy reminds me of other Gen Zers, who are young, inexperienced, and maybe he doesn't keep everybody's coffee and water filled because he's checking his messages while the food is being prepared. The way he complains about EVERYbody wanting their OWN, SEPARATE thing, like it's an imposition on him, when that's just the gig. He probably thinks that checking for drinks and such will be taken care of after he brings everybody their orders, instead of something a person hustling for tips will do, non-stop. Anyway, I would take what he says with a grain of salt. He seems kind of young and inexperienced.

  2. I waited tables at a resort. We all cooked, took orders, worked the register, and waited tables. We all did dishes. There'd usually be 2 of us working the restaurant at any one time. If it was an event, we'd all work the room. You get the hang of the waiter/waitress part of it, but you're a little bit slow, at first. If you can't read your own writing, it's much harder! Have you seen the handwriting of Gen Zers? Let me just say that most of it's not at "grade level."
