We weighed in, by force of arms, about 80 years ago, and now just wish everybody would stop attacking Israel all the time, because of muh national sovereignty, while we trammeled the national sovereignty of everybody in the region, before during and after to create the Jewish ethno-state that's been under attack ever since, in a forever war that is good for no one except politicians and weapons manufacturers. Flushed with victory and assailed by guilt after defeating those who engineered the Holocaust, we committed and are committing another holocaust in the Middle East. Very hard to say we weren't righteous. In 1945 - 1948, our leaders and the American people were all-in on the Israel Project. But nobody took pause to think that creating an ethno-state by force of arms wasn't a good idea, regardless of how wonderful it made us feel, and how it aligned with our religious dogmas.
