Not a big fan of nationalism, except insofar as it's one giant step closer to localism than globalism. Majority rule is 2 wolves and a sheep voting on the dinner menu. The people will vote themselves a living in a true democracy. That's why there are laws constraining the majority in any sane republic. At the same time, with NO democratic mechanisms whereby the people weigh in, you get tyranny. What I like about the USA the most is that it takes a 2/3 majority to fundamentally change the underlying constitution. I wish it took a 2/3 majority to pass ANY new law. That way nothing would be changed in how the people are governed unless a super-majority agreed. Stable rule sets are how good people can make better lives for themselves. Unstable rule sets are how the little guys are always thwarted the minute they get uppity.

@Josh-fz9rh Nothing. I was just saying nationalism is marginally better than globalism, because nationalism is closer to localism. We need to be more de-centralized, not more centralized. Plenty of nationalists who wrongly want to use nationalism as the excuse to concentrate power in the hands of a few. Globalists, want even MORE power in the hands of even FEWER. So they're even worse than nationalists. Inasmuch as nationalism is in opposition to globalism, I like it. But I'd much rather see much more local autonomy and less of both nationalism and globalism.
