Your last sentence describes the entire adult life of Karl Marx. Wanted to live like an aristocrat, but was never willing to work for it. It was always "Give to ME!" followed by resentment and non-stop rants against a cruel, unfair world full of bourgeoisie. Marx was the definition of bourgeois.

Starbucks business model never made sense, anyway. But a lot of people will spend $5 for a $0.50 cup of coffee as a status symbol. I make better-tasting coffee at home, for less than $0.25 per cup. I see people lining up for $5 coffee, and I know we are doomed.

If you think they're only closing because of unionization, then obviously you should open your OWN cafe and encourage YOUR workers to unionize. We'll see how long you last. I can wait. I have a whole 5 minutes to spare.

@RayGetardo That's why I think a good business should have a way for employees to own a stake in the company and eventually buy the whole thing from the entrepreneur who started it. Everybody makes money that way.
