  1. The risks are well-known. Aside from the regulations that make doing business in Commiefornia impossible, mismanagement of public lands by state and federal governments is right up there. Pretty much everything they've done has made wild fires more likely. We don't "meddle" with Nature, except to spend millions of dollars putting out natural fires. Then the brush builds up to such an extent that you get conflagrations that can't be fought. It'd be easy - and profitable - to do forest-fire mitigation before the fact, by clearing out the brush and dead wood, where it's built up to conflagration size. Nothing to do with climate change. Everything to do with so-called environmentalists, who faint at the thought of selective harvests or brush clearing. Environmentalists take joy from seeing it all burn up, apparently.
