  1. I don't think deserters are sitting at home. Life for a deserter isn't easy. You have no home. You have no income. You're the target of authorities. This just says how bad it is to remain on the front lines. People who desert have the odds stacked against them, which tells you how they must feel the odds are stacked against them if they don't desert.

  3.  @historylegends  Yes. I made that comment midway through your video. It seems that the enforcement end is hopelessly corrupt and ineffectual, so deserting isn't as scary as it would otherwise be. About what you would expect from a corrupt government getting all its policies and money from corrupt U.S. politicians.
