  1. Whether Trump was manipulated or not, he at the very least BLUNDERED BADLY. Trump, by deferring to Fauci, whom Trump had all the resources necessary to un-mask, but didn't. You can make the case for a little stimulus after stopping the economy's heart with lockdowns. But as president, he should've fought against locking-down everything. Trump did NOT have the best people advising him, and if he did, then his handling of COVID response is even worse. I think Trump exposed himself as part of the larger machine, with many of his decisions and inactions. He made too many concessions to win, politically, and still failed, politically. He can't really drain a swamp of which he, himself, is a creature. He will probably win the nomination, but whether he wins in '24 or not, I see him as controlled opposition. He gives the base enough red meat to keep them with him, while never really making the case to voters who are programmed to hate him.

  2. I think nationalism is only slightly less toxic than globalism. They are not opposites. You present a false dichotomy, here. To me, they are the same thing, pretty much, but the globalists want to see even MORE concentration of power in the hands of a few than the nationalists! I would MUCH rather be a LOCALIST, little affected by national and world affairs because the higher up you went, the LESS power was given. I see no real movement about "nationalists" to limit the power and scope of the central government. That's a libertarian/localist principle. People are becoming more nationalist because it's the biggest force opposed to globalism. It's like being a Marxist-Leninist who opposes Nazis. Two varieties of the same exact governance (top-down) paradigm.
