  2. I prefer something a bit more substantial. And just because you have drain holes doesn't mean your feet actually dry out without taking the boots off, letting them dry out and changing socks. But the boots do dry more quickly than boots that came before, and most work boots. Main advantages to me were that the boots were very light and the vents kept my feet cooler and drier in the heat. That's a weird fact about the lugs. Knowing this, why are the "old" kind of lug soles still so prevalent. I thought vibram was the material, but I gather it's the tread pattern of the original lug boots.
