  1. Bud Light was in decline. They needed a new product that's more like what the young people are drinking, but they decided to do the lazy thing and just re-brand a very big seller that's in some decline. All they could think about was bringing in new customers to a strong but declining brand, rather than come up with an actual new product that might start small. All these big corporations lack imagination, especially at the top levels.

  2. All the wrong people strive to be at the top of these non-productive institutions. This is why the founding fathers tried to keep government small, and why the people who are in power try to grow government. Good people have better things to do than be the top drone at the drone factory.
