  2. The Dow and NASDAQ are way overrepresented in big, woke corporations. Their fall may not be as bad for the economy as you think. You might just be seeing the growth of small business in the parallel economy. "Big corporate" is burdening itself with all manner of nonsense that has zero to do with providing better products and services at a lower price to its customers. Businesses have virtue-signaled for customers for centuries. "See? We give the poor a tithe of our profits." "See? We don't agree with this 'inquisition' thing." "See? We care about freedom!" It's not all necessarily bad. It can be good. But when the establishment is pushing nonsense, big corporations are going to be on board. When it appears the culture is headed in a given direction, corporations are going to try to keep up or stay ahead of that curve. I think they're slowly figuring out that the establishment isn't anybody's friend, right now, and the ACTUAL culture isn't represented by cloistered, college-educated nitwits.
