  1. "Will you say that publicly?" "No." This tells you all you need to know about the capture of science by politics. This guy admitted that he betrayed the science out of fear of retribution. He's admitting to cowardice. This is a big part of what's wrong with "science" in the USA.

  2. There's a genetic difference, but a key finding was there was more variation within races than there was between races. Genius/idiot blacks. Genius/idiot whites. Much of it is cultural. Some of what we do in our culture is encourage the poor to have big families and scare educated people from having more than one or two children. We make it more and more expensive/difficult to get ahead by hard work, and we reward people who fail. So, we are encouraging a dumbing-down of society. This begs the question of measuring race, itself. You can't find a pure African black in the USA unless they're newcomers. As the races continue interbreeding, these questions become less and less relevant.
