  1. Most of what's good about a culture or society is the brain child of a small number of smart and highly motivated individuals. When the "smart people" are pushing for dumb stuff, things go to hell very quickly. People don't understand the liberty that brought them prosperity. They vote for their own benefit and security, which is never to their benefit or security in the long run.
