CNN could turn it around. Just fire all their fake journalists, hire some good people. Re-brand as actual objective news.

When kneeling becomes the norm, standing becomes a courageous protest.

Julian Moran They're TRYING. But they're rapidly receding to the fringe, where they belong. Their voice has been amplified by a lot of people who don't like us uppity peasants. How dare we grow the food, drive the trucks, keep the lights on, and build a better future?

Most of y'all are in this category, just like most whites. We're just not the people that you hear from, because we're too busy making sure the world keeps working by doing our damn jobs. Just too many of us are too busy to realize how far things have gotten. But we're wakin' up.

They keep people miserable so they'll vote for Democrats in the name of easing their misery.

The vast majority of us can only make it if the rule set is simple and stable over long periods. You give us that and we can PLAN. The elites can change with the landscape. Hire a full-time worker with a spray bottle and wipes to (make it look they're) keep a nice, sanitized environment. That one more person doing just that, even if it's half-assed, satisfies the requirement. The Mom & Pop doesn't have room on their payroll for that extra worker. They don't have the money to retro-fit their store for COVID. COVID's just one example. Big outfits love lots of regulations. Crooks like lots of regulations. The little guy relies on good faith effort and customer loyalty, and probably shows their workers and their customers more real love than the big-box store. There are two countervailing trends in operation, right now. One trend is towards more and more centralized power. The other is towards more and more local autonomy and responsibility. I think Trump's on the decentralization side. That alone is reason enough to vote for him.

Most of the woke is to protect financial interests. NBA and other pro sports ratings have been sliding for years. Cable t.v. ratings have been slipping for years. The mass appeal is no longer there, so they're searching for a shot in the arm. Barring the mass appeal, they choose to pander to what few loyal customers they have left. Major sports has very much miscalculated, as have other industries. They're just hastening the end. This has happened many times in history. Leaders see a decline and do desperate things to turn things around. Think Pearl Harbor. It's not that the Japanese thought they would win, but they knew (believed) if they didn't do something drastic, there was no hope for them as they understood themselves.

And now education establishment is determined to tear down any aspect of culture that contributes to hard work, saving and even high academic standards. If you work hard, save your money and invest your money, then by DEFINITION in liberal ed circles, you're a RACIST.

They can weigh in on politics. The trouble is that this BLM nonsense is an offshoot of critical race theory which is regressive as hell, but masquerades as virtue. Some people buy it. Some people see through the people pushing it and see through the charlatanism. I remember celebrities pushing all kinds of causes - good causes - over the years. Using their platform to push something good was seen as a good thing. It's not the injection of politics that's the problem. It's the stupidity and ignorance of the beliefs being pushed. This country's never been less racist than it is, today. There are bigger problems in the world and in this country. Not only that, but these BLM people are joining hands with the same people who've always tried to hold blacks down. Push for school choice. Push against the war on drugs. Push against Affirmative Action, which is virtually the only racist law remaining on the books. Being condescended to is not holding you up. It's a damn slap in the face, telling you that you need special treatment to be competitive, when nothing could be farther from the truth. You need to be treated the same in order to be competitive. They didn't give Lebron his own, special, 8-foot basketball goal, so he could be great.
