  1. The vast majority of us can only make it if the rule set is simple and stable over long periods. You give us that and we can PLAN. The elites can change with the landscape. Hire a full-time worker with a spray bottle and wipes to (make it look they're) keep a nice, sanitized environment. That one more person doing just that, even if it's half-assed, satisfies the requirement. The Mom & Pop doesn't have room on their payroll for that extra worker. They don't have the money to retro-fit their store for COVID. COVID's just one example. Big outfits love lots of regulations. Crooks like lots of regulations. The little guy relies on good faith effort and customer loyalty, and probably shows their workers and their customers more real love than the big-box store. There are two countervailing trends in operation, right now. One trend is towards more and more centralized power. The other is towards more and more local autonomy and responsibility. I think Trump's on the decentralization side. That alone is reason enough to vote for him.
