  1. Does it make things worse or does it reveal things that have always been there? Are there dangers? Sure. But I think it was more dangerous in the '60s and '70s when there were basically 5 sources of news, and all were closely wedded to the federal government (since WW II, at least). We were being fed a line of bull, then. Now, we KNOW we're being fed a line of bull. Easy to fix the problem with kids and the Internet: Limit their access to sites and limit the time they can spend online. TV did much the same to my generation. Our parents used common sense and didn't let us watch things we shouldn't, or spend too much time in front of the TV.
